Lower Library
A set of marble line the entrance towards a reception desk behind which a dark circular library two stories high. Six rows of shelves stand at the center of the room with further bookshelves lining the walls all filled with old tomes and lavishly crafted books, statues and scrolls.
An upper gallery on the second floor is accessible by a staircase at the back of the room. Hanging suspended in the air at the center of the room between the two floors, looms the skeleton of a dragon outstretched as if in mid-flight.
Lamps trail behind gaunt librarians who move with needle like feet. Their metallic clicking on the wood floors the only sound breaking the oppressive silence.
Reception Desk: Stacks of papers and books fill the desk, behind a ghaunt librarian receptionist sits. The Desk contains an index of all books in the library and succeeding an Investigation (Intelligence) check DC 14 reveals the location of a book.
Staircase: An embroided metal door prevents entry, can be picked with a theives tools check DC 13 or by using a key that can be found on the reception desk or in the posession of a librarian.
Dragon: A skeleton of a dragon kept aloft by some arcane means. Small tendrils of corruption wrap around the bones and eye sockets.
The book on corruption is found in the Upper Library.
Silence in the Library
Casting spells with a verbal component, talking or any activity which creates noise will attract the attention of the Librarians and the ire of the library. A Sneak check can be made to attempt activates quietly, though spell casting without a feature like subtle spell should not be afforded this check.
Any loud noise will cause a librarian to seek out the source of the noise and a roll on the disturbances table should be made.
